Patch Notes
Current version: v2.99.0

New features and improvements land here with every release — check back after each update to see what's new. (This page covers player-facing changes; behind-the-scenes work is left out.)

v2.96.0 — Sharper Sprites (HD Upgrade Begins)

August 2026

We've started re-drawing characters and bosses at higher resolution for crisper, more detailed art — same look, twice the fidelity.

  • Heroes — the Chicken and a first wave of animal heroes are now full HD.
  • Mega bosses — the towering Basin bosses are getting redrawn too, starting with the Bog Titan, Colossus, Horror, Hydra, and Leviathan.
  • More characters and bosses roll out over the coming updates.

v2.95.0 — Punchier Combat & Smoother Motion

August 2026

A combat-feel pass that makes every fight read better — no balance changes, just polish.

  • Hits land harder — enemies flash and recoil when you strike them, so every hit connects with real weight.
  • Smoother enemies — foes now glide between tiles instead of snapping, matching your own movement.
  • Snappier feedback — damage numbers pop in and fan out, and hit sparks burst outward instead of fizzling in place.
  • Buttery on every screen — camera and movement smoothing now feel identical on 60Hz and high-refresh 120Hz displays.

All of this respects your Reduced Motion and Smooth Movement settings.

v2.94.0 — Your Chats, Right in the World Panel

August 2026

The world-chat panel now has a Chats tab — your direct messages and group conversations live right alongside World, Guild, and System.

  • Everything in one list — DMs and groups together, newest first, each with a preview of the last message and an unread count. Groups are clearly tagged.
  • Read and reply in place — tap a conversation and it opens right inside the panel, no separate window. Send messages, stickers, and emotes, and react to messages just like anywhere else. Hit ‹ Chats to go back to the list.
  • Never miss a message — an unread badge on the Chats tab keeps you posted even while you're reading World or Guild chat.

v2.92.3 — Clearer Firing Smoke

August 2026

The puff of smoke when you fire no longer blankets your character — it now drifts out in front of the muzzle and is a touch lighter, so you can always see who you're playing.

v2.92.0 — New Character: Frost Pixie

August 2026

A new free character joins the roster — the Frost Pixie, a winged ice-fairy who darts into the fray and jabs with a frozen wand.

  • Free for everyone — pick her from My Nest any time. Like all characters, she's purely cosmetic, so switch whenever you fancy a new look.
  • Fully animated — a hand-finished sprite with idle, walk, attack, hit, and defeat animations to match the rest of the cast.

v2.91.145 — Group Chat

August 2026

Private, invite-only group chats — round up your friends into a room that's all your own, separate from World and Guild chat.

  • Make a group — hit + Create Group DM under the search in your Conversations list, name it (up to 50 members), and invite players. You can be in several groups at once.
  • All in one place — your groups sit right in your Conversations list alongside DMs and guild chat, newest first. Invites show up under Friends.
  • Chat together — full emotes, stickers, reactions, and unread badges, just like guild chat.
  • Your room, your rules — the group owner invites, renames, removes members, or disbands. Leave any time; if the owner leaves, ownership passes to another member automatically.
  • Stay safe — tap any member's name to message, mute, or report them, just like World chat.

v2.91.129–v2.91.139 — Expanded Player Guides & In-Game Help

August 2026

A big refresh of our guides so new and returning players can find answers fast.

v2.91.61–v2.91.108 — The Eggvault Labyrinth

July 2026

A brand-new, run-based roguelite mode — the biggest addition since launch. Unlock it by clearing Mountain floor 10.

  • Descend the labyrinth — push through tiers of five chambers, grabbing temporary shrine boons and diving as deep as you dare.
  • Five tier bosses — The Broodfather, Shardbeak the Cursed, The Molting King, Ashwing, and the mythic Yolkmother, each a telegraphed, phase-based fight.
  • First Rooster Artifacts — earn Feather Shards and spend them at the Shellwarden's Shop on powerful pre-run boosts.
  • Endless replay — a tier 6+ remix loop, a leaderboard, and the Keeper's Whispers lore to uncover.

v2.91.54–v2.91.59 — Mountain Combat Overhaul

July 2026

The Mountain climb got a combat makeover with more variety and tougher, more readable enemies.

  • Elite enemies — from floor 8, elites with special affixes (Regenerating, Explosive, Warded, Summoner, and more) change how you fight — and they're clearly marked with glowing effects.
  • Enemy archetypes — ranged shooters, chargers, fast swarmers, and beefy tanks now mix into floors as you climb.
  • Smarter pacing — retuned enemy density so fights stay lively without becoming a swarm.

v2.91.109–v2.91.115 — Smoother Movement & Easier Logins

July 2026

  • Smooth tile-glide movement — a refreshed movement feel that glides between tiles.
  • Sign in with Apple — now available alongside Google sign-in on the web.
  • Stay signed in — longer web sessions and a "Remember Me" option so you're not logging in constantly.
  • Screen Shake toggle — a new accessibility setting to turn camera shake off.

v2.83–v2.91.53 — The Big Visual Upgrade

May–June 2026

A sweeping art pass gave the whole game a crisper, more premium look.

  • HD enemies & bosses — every enemy and boss redrawn at higher resolution, with idle animations and presence effects.
  • HD environments — hundreds of props and biome set-pieces refreshed, plus an Island Vale visual overhaul.
  • Punchier combat visuals — muzzle flashes, shell casings, hit-impact bursts, and a shiny new gold chest with an open animation.

  • Landing page redesign — a fresh front door for the game, plus site-wide theme polish.
  • Premium character skins — new Bone King, Demon, and Void looks.

v2.73 — Mobile Polish & Chat Improvements

April 2026

A round of quality-of-life improvements focused on mobile experience and chat.

  • Mobile keyboard-aware chat — world chat repositions above the virtual keyboard so you can see what you're typing.
