Talent Tree

Last updated: April 2026

Overview

The Shrine of Power is a permanent talent tree accessible from the Hub. As you play, you earn Skill Points (SP) from in-game milestones like leveling up, clearing dungeon floors, and defeating world bosses.

Spend your SP to unlock nodes across three branches: Fury (offense), Bastion (defense), and Cunning (utility). Each node costs 2 SP to unlock.

There are 30 nodes in total (10 per branch), requiring 60 SP to fully unlock everything. With a maximum of 30 SP available, you can fully max one branch and get halfway through a second. This forces meaningful specialization and gives every player a distinct build identity.

Fury Branch (Offensive)

The Fury branch focuses on raw damage output. If you want to hit harder, kill faster, and snowball through dungeon floors, this is your tree.

Apex Predator (Capstone) +12% all damage. Killing blows have a 15% chance to recharge a hotbar item War Cry + Rampage

Bastion Branch (Defensive)

The Bastion branch is built around survivability. More HP, stronger shields, damage reflection, and a capstone that can save you from a killing blow. Ideal for pushing tough content and world boss fights.

Cunning Branch (Utility)

The Cunning branch boosts your gold income, XP gains, crafting efficiency, and buff durations. It does not make you hit harder or survive longer, but it accelerates your progression across every system in the game.

Earning Skill Points

Skill Points are earned by reaching specific milestones. There are 30 SP available in total from the following sources:

Source Milestones SP Earned
Player Level 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 240, 250 12
Mountain Floor 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 6
Dungeon Phase 5, 10, 15, 20 4
World Boss First-Kills 4 unique bosses 4
Quests Claimed 10, 25, 50, 100 4

Progression Curve

Here is a rough idea of how your talent tree fills out as you progress through the game:

Stage Approx SP Nodes What it feels like
Level 20 2-3 1 First talent -- a taste of the system
Level 50 6-8 3-4 Start of a build identity
Level 100 12-15 6-7 Meaningful power spike
Level 150 18-22 9-11 One tree nearly maxed
Level 250 28-30 14-15 One full tree + half of another

Respec

You can reset all of your talents at any time for a gold cost. The respec price is 5,000 + (500 x your player level). There is no cooldown -- the gold cost is the only gate.

At level 50, a respec costs 30,000 gold. At level 200, it costs 105,000 gold. This keeps respeccing accessible in the early game while adding a meaningful decision point at higher levels.

PvP Balance

To keep duels fair and skill-based, talents are scaled to 50% effectiveness in PvP. A node that gives +8% ATK in PvE only gives +4% ATK in a duel.

Additionally, complex mechanics like Momentum, Rampage, and Undying are disabled entirely in PvP. This prevents snowball effects and "cheat death" mechanics from dominating the duel meta.

Build Tips

  • Fury is best for speed-clearing dungeon floors. If your goal is to push through the Mountain as fast as possible, the offensive multipliers in this tree will get you there.
  • Bastion shines in world boss fights where survivability matters more than burst damage. If you keep dying to bosses, Bastion will help you stay standing.
  • Cunning is ideal for gold farming and long-term progression efficiency. The XP and gold bonuses compound over time, and Forge Master alone saves a fortune on tempering costs.
  • You can respec anytime -- experiment freely. Try a full Fury build for dungeon climbing, then switch to Cunning when you want to farm gold, then go Bastion for a world boss attempt. The talent tree is a tool, not a permanent commitment.
